Riot will finally be introducing better intro bots to League of Legends.

League of Legends as a game is pretty fun. It has great combat mechanics, solid visuals, and, most importantly, a fun gameplay loop. It is also a game that is notoriously hard to get into. Due to the game’s numerous Champions, Items, and complex mechanics, it is very hard for a new player to pick up the game.

Usually, most games mitigate this issue by having an extensive Tutorial/Training mode built into the game. They also have some sort of “Bot” mode that allows players to experience the game further. But that’s hardly the case for League of Legends.

League of Legends has one of the most notorious Tutorial modes in gaming. Up until 2018, the Tutorial would teach newer players to build the wrong items on champions (Shoutout to Thornmail Ashe).

The game’s Co-Op VS. AI mode isn’t any better, either. It only has a limited amount of champions. Also, these bots don’t use appropriate Runes, Spells or appear in the correct lane positions. In addition, it is impossible to learn the Jungle role by following the Tutorial or playing Co-Op VS. AI.

But all these are about to change, as Riot has announced the introduction of new Intro Bots to the game.

New Intro Bots

In a recent Dev Blog, Riot announced that they would be introducing brand-new Intro Bots to League of Legends. These bots will have updated AI and are expected to have support for all 160+ champions in the game.

In addition, the bots will have some new features added to them. Here are all the features Riot has listed,

Jungling

Each Co-Op VS. AI will now have a dedicated Jungler that can actually use the Summoner Spell Smite. With this, new players will be able to become accustomed to the Jungle role and learn Jungling from the Bot.

Ganking

Bots will be able to gank lanes as well. Although Riot did not explain how these ganks would work.

Supporting Each Other

Supporting Each Other could mean that bots will now work together for certain objectives, or it could mean there would be a dedicated Support bot.

Role Selection

Bots will now be assigned one of the five roles. So, no longer will there be two bots sitting in the Top lane.

Taking Objectives

Lastly, bots will now be capable of taking objectives such as Dragons and Barons.

As for the release date for these new bots, Riot has not specified the date. But they will be hitting the PBE for a two-week trial run in either September or October. So, if you don’t have a PBE account, create one and hop into the PBE to test out the bots.

Riot talks about the status of Snowballing and Game Time in League of Legends, as changes may be coming soon.

Plenty of new information has come out in the past few days by Riot regarding League of Legends. Riot has talked about a ton of changes coming to League of Legends soon. 2024 is going to be a huge year for League of Legends.

Preseason is getting major changes as Ranked is getting three splits now. Also, they are removing the Preseason patches in the live servers. Mythic Items are removed, as Riot will do an alternative for the system.

With that said, Riot has talked about certain things in the game thus far. Snowballing and Game Time were part of this article. Riot talks about the current state of both these topics and what they will do in the future. Here is what we know so far.

Riot Talks Snowballing and Game Time

Riot talks about both these aspects of League of Legends in great detail. They divide up the topics into Elite play vs. Regular play so you can understand the perspective they are coming from.

Snowballing

In terms of Snowballing, Riot is happy with it in Regular Play. Average Solo Queue games have done a good job at keeping Snowballing balanced, with Bounties being available as well. The game is very back and forth, so Riot is fairly happy with it so far.

For Elite play, Riot has some concerns. Particularly in Pro Play, it is apparent that teams can Snowball too hard. A lot of it is due to how Objectives like Turret Plates, Dragons, etc., function. While a lot of power was given to Objectives, they skewed Snowballing in Elite play.

On the laning end of things, everything is balanced. It seems that players cannot run away with their advantage if they play carelessly. So, things look good in Riot’s eyes in this case at the moment.

Game Time

Riot is pretty happy with the length of games at the moment. Laning and mid to late-game stages are of similar length. Regular play Game Times are slightly longer, while Elite play Game Times have remained consistent for a few years.

Future Changes

In terms of Future Changes to both Game Time and Snowballing, Riot had a fair bit to say. For Game Time, Riot does not want to do too much. However, they are planning changes for Snowballing to reduce the effect of it in Elite play.

This will have some impact on Game Time, but Riot believes it is worth the risk. As for changes, they are looking at changes to jungle impact, early death impact, and decreasing rewards for early game objectives. That could mean nerfing, ganking junglers, and reducing turret plate gold and such. They aim to make changes for both after Worlds 2023.

It is an interesting topic for Riot to talk about, as they want to be as transparent as they can. These insights inform players as to how Riot looks at things and what they want to change. While many players will not agree with their thought process, at least Riot is being forthcoming with it.

As Riot themselves said, these changes will mostly affect Pro play, and they know many players are not interested in it. However, Riot also said they want to strike a balance, and hopefully, they can achieve it. That way, they can make most players happy, and that will be a good day at the office.

After Riot announced a massive schedule change, LP Changes are coming to Ranked 2024 as well.

Riot has gone into a spree of talking about the Preseason. 2024 is going to be a year of a ton of changes for League of Legends. Mythic Items are getting removed, the Preseason period in the game is being eliminated, and more.

The biggest change was the announcement of Ranked all year round. Now, League of Legends will have three splits of Ranked starting from January and continuing the entire year. This changes how Riot does changes, preseason, and such.

More Ranked splits mean more rewards but also problems to climb. Riot has already made changes to placement games and removed promotion games in Ranked. While those may still stay in, three splits mean there’s an LP deficit to account for.

Thus, Riot devs have gone to Twitter to talk about Ranked in 2024, which will include some pretty big LP changes. Here is what we know so far.

Ranked LP Changes

There are a few Riot devs that talked about the future Ranked changes coming. The first one coming for Riot Iksar, one of the new Riot devs.

In this comment, Riot Iksar iterates that they will adjust the amount of time needed to get you your “real” rank. Also, part of the reason Ranked has three splits is to make it easier to do full-balance changes without upsetting the apple cart.

Riot Iksar followed up the previous comment with the fact that Riot will keep monitoring LP changes over the course of the year.

Negative LP States are also an issue, as Riot Iksar talked about Riot doing some work on it. So Riot is doing a fair bit of work for LP changes. Riot BarackProbama also commented on the topic of LP changes.

This one is pretty much as Riot plans to make similar changes as in Ranked 2023. We should see more LP gains, fewer placement matches, and more use of a soft reset. However, Riot BarackProbama did not rule out other changes that fall into the same vein.

The community is divided on these changes, so we will have to see how Riot handles this. It is definitely a ground-breaking change for sure. Let’s see how Riot makes these changes and how the players take it.

Riot is coming out with a lot of cosmetic stuff in Patch 13.17 in League of Legends. Firstly, we are getting the new Cosmic skins along with Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin. However, Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin comes with milestones and a lot of controversy as to whether it’s worth the price the skin is currently at.

Next, we are also getting the Blue Essence Emporium once more. This will bring in a lot of Champie Icons, Chromas, and such. There will also be a ton of Illustrated Icons for League of Legends.

Riot has created one for all 164 champions, and it has been revealed that we are set to get them in this patch. Here is what the icons look like and what they cost.

League of Legends is getting its latest champion, Briar, out soon in Patch 13.18.

Naafiri came out a few patches back in League of Legends as Riot is preparing for another release. Briar is set to come out in Patch 13.18, as we will be getting a new jungler in the game. It was mentioned a long time back that Briar would be a “hangry jungler.”

Since then, we have had quite a few teasers for Briar. A lot of the content has been leaked, including the in-game teasers Riot prepared. Riot has also said that Briar will not be available for Worlds 2023.

Now, Riot is set to release Briar soon, and there are rumors that she will also get a Street Demon skin. With all that said, here is what we know about Briar as Riot revealed the champion.

Gameplay

Briar Abilities

The abilities have been officially revealed in this article. Here they are as follows.

Passive – Crimson Curse

Briar has no base health regeneration, and her abilities cost health to cast. Instead, she heals based on Missing Health and deals stacking bleed damage (physical) to enemies. A portion of that pre-mitigation damage heals Briar. Also, healing is increased based on Missing Health.

Q – Head Rush

It will be a jumping ability similar to Viego, except it will shred Armor from the target. This can target any unit but prioritizes champions. She can stop prioritizing champions if she casts her Q on a minion or monster while in Blood Frenzy.

W – Blood Frenzy/Snack Attack

Blood Frenzy

The first activation of Briar’s W leaps her to a location and taunts herself to the nearest enemy that prioritizes champions for a brief time. She gains bonus Movement and Attack Speed and also deals splash physical damage around her target.

Snack Attack

Briar can recast her W to do Snack Attack, where she empowers her next attack. The next attack deals Missing Health damage and heals Briar for a large percentage of said damage dealt.

E – Chilling Scream

Briar drops Blood Frenzy and starts channeling a line ability. During charging, she gains damage reduction and restores health.

After Charging, she uses a line AoE where she deals damage based on the amount of time spent channeling the ability. She also applies slows to enemies hit. If she fully charges her E, she instead deals the maximum damage, knocks back enemies, and stuns them if they hit a wall.

R – Certain Death

Briar kicks a line ability (global range) at a target and marks the enemy. She then dashes into the enemy, dealing damage and fearing every other enemy around the target. After this, she enters an Empowered Frenzy and will be in such a state until she or her target dies. She gains Armor, Magic Resist, and additional Movement Speed during the Empowered Frenzy.

Dr. Mundo is finally getting a new skin after nearly five years.

Skins are cosmetic items in League of Legends that change the look of champions in various ways. They are purely artistic changes and typically have no gameplay effect. Each champion in the game has their own skins, and some even have numerous skins. Additionally, Riot releases new skins for champions every two weeks.

Although most champions in the game are given new skins on a regular basis, there are times when some get left out for one reason or another. And this has been the case for Dr. Mundo. The last skin Dr. Mundo received was Frozen Prince Mundo, which was in 2018.

Since then, he hasn’t received any new skins. Riot’s justification for not providing him with a new skin was because his model was outdated. But even after the 2021 Dr. Mundo VGU, he didn’t revive a new skin. However, after five years of waiting, Dr. Mundo is finally getting a brand new skin called Street Demon Mundo.

In this article, we will examine the new Street Demon Mundo skin and its Splash art, Price, and Release Date.

Zyra is getting another new skin in 2023 in the Street Demon Skin Line.

One of the most popular champions in League of Legends is Zyra. Her identity as a champion who deals with plants makes her pretty unique, even though Maokai and Ivern are part of the game. She can spawn plants and create havoc in games.

Players are naturally drawn to champion themes like hers, and it shows in the popularity list. She has recently become more popular. Thus, Riot decided to give her a new skin called Mythmaker Zyra. However, because of the sheer popularity of the champion, Riot has decided to give her a 2nd one this year.

Thus, we get the Street Demon skin line, which boasts demon-like characters being street artists. In Zyra’s case, she has this infernal type look about her in this skin line and creates art similar to that. All of her abilities are blue in color and have a creepy vibe about them. It definitely fits the champion theme to a tee.

With that said, here is the splash art, release date, and price for Street Demon Zyra.
