Curious to find out what’s in the Apex Legends Store right now? You don’t have to get into the game to know. We’ve got you covered.
Apex Legends is an FPS Battle Royale title inspired by the Titanfall franchise. The game’s fast-paced playstyle, unique features, and flawless implementation of the hero-shooter aspect made the game popular among millions of players.
Currently, Apex Legends is a playground for more than 130 million players, and the player count keeps increasing day by day. One of the biggest reasons why more and more players get into Apex Legends is that it is a free-to-play game that doesn’t require you to spend any money.
However, Respawn relies on microtransactions to make a profit through the game. Apex Legends introduces many new cosmetic items via Collection Events, Thematic Events, and special occasions. Moreover, they bring old skins into the game through their in-game store.
Although players don’t need to buy skins and cosmetic items to play the game, these items allow them to customize their game sessions. So, naturally, players purchase them using Apex Coins, Crafting Materials, and Legend Tokens, which, more or less, costs your real-world money.

How Does Apex Legends’ In-game Store Work?
Apex Legends’ in-game store is where players can spend Crafting Materials, Apex Coins, and Legend Tokens to purchase skins and cosmetic items. There are many types of cosmetic items in Apex Legends.
These are:
- Mythics (Heirlooms and Prestige Skins)
- Legend Skins
- Weapon Skins
- Banner Frames
- Banner Poses
- Ground Emotes
- Skydive Emotes
- Holosprays
- Weapon Charms
Of all the cosmetic items, Mythics (Heirlooms and Prestige skins) are the rarest and most expensive items in the game. There’s a “Mythics” tab under Apex Store, where you can go and craft Heirlooms or Prestige skins with Heirloom Shards. Players can get Heirloom Shards by opening Apex Packs or, sometimes, through Collection Events. To learn more on how to get Heirloom Shards, click on this link.
Apart from “Mythics,” there are three more categories from where you can purchase in-game cosmetic items. These include “Featured,” “Specials,” and “Monthly” tabs. The “Featured” tab usually includes old and returning skins. There’s also a “Limited-time” section under the “Featured” tab, where Respawn features two skins with recolor options. You can craft the recolored Legend or Weapon skins using Legend Tokens. However, you’ll need the original skin first to craft the recolor skin. Moreover, the cosmetic items and skins under the “Featured” section usually shuffle every week. However, the duration may vary.
In the “Specials” tab, Respawn features special offers, bundles, and skins that may or may not be new to the game. The “Specials” tab usually includes cosmetic items from special occasions and Events such as Black Friday, Summer Sale, Recolor events, and more.
The “Monthly” tab under the Apex Store works similarly to the “Featured” section. However, the “Monthly” tab consists of more skins and cosmetic items than the “Featured” one. Moreover, the skins under the “Monthly” section shuffle every 30 days.
