Riot will finally be introducing better intro bots to League of Legends.

League of Legends as a game is pretty fun. It has great combat mechanics, solid visuals, and, most importantly, a fun gameplay loop. It is also a game that is notoriously hard to get into. Due to the game’s numerous Champions, Items, and complex mechanics, it is very hard for a new player to pick up the game.

Usually, most games mitigate this issue by having an extensive Tutorial/Training mode built into the game. They also have some sort of “Bot” mode that allows players to experience the game further. But that’s hardly the case for League of Legends.

League of Legends has one of the most notorious Tutorial modes in gaming. Up until 2018, the Tutorial would teach newer players to build the wrong items on champions (Shoutout to Thornmail Ashe).

The game’s Co-Op VS. AI mode isn’t any better, either. It only has a limited amount of champions. Also, these bots don’t use appropriate Runes, Spells or appear in the correct lane positions. In addition, it is impossible to learn the Jungle role by following the Tutorial or playing Co-Op VS. AI.

But all these are about to change, as Riot has announced the introduction of new Intro Bots to the game.

New Intro Bots

In a recent Dev Blog, Riot announced that they would be introducing brand-new Intro Bots to League of Legends. These bots will have updated AI and are expected to have support for all 160+ champions in the game.

In addition, the bots will have some new features added to them. Here are all the features Riot has listed,

Jungling

Each Co-Op VS. AI will now have a dedicated Jungler that can actually use the Summoner Spell Smite. With this, new players will be able to become accustomed to the Jungle role and learn Jungling from the Bot.

Ganking

Bots will be able to gank lanes as well. Although Riot did not explain how these ganks would work.

Supporting Each Other

Supporting Each Other could mean that bots will now work together for certain objectives, or it could mean there would be a dedicated Support bot.

Role Selection

Bots will now be assigned one of the five roles. So, no longer will there be two bots sitting in the Top lane.

Taking Objectives

Lastly, bots will now be capable of taking objectives such as Dragons and Barons.

As for the release date for these new bots, Riot has not specified the date. But they will be hitting the PBE for a two-week trial run in either September or October. So, if you don’t have a PBE account, create one and hop into the PBE to test out the bots.

Dr. Mundo is finally getting a new skin after nearly five years.

Skins are cosmetic items in League of Legends that change the look of champions in various ways. They are purely artistic changes and typically have no gameplay effect. Each champion in the game has their own skins, and some even have numerous skins. Additionally, Riot releases new skins for champions every two weeks.

Although most champions in the game are given new skins on a regular basis, there are times when some get left out for one reason or another. And this has been the case for Dr. Mundo. The last skin Dr. Mundo received was Frozen Prince Mundo, which was in 2018.

Since then, he hasn’t received any new skins. Riot’s justification for not providing him with a new skin was because his model was outdated. But even after the 2021 Dr. Mundo VGU, he didn’t revive a new skin. However, after five years of waiting, Dr. Mundo is finally getting a brand new skin called Street Demon Mundo.

In this article, we will examine the new Street Demon Mundo skin and its Splash art, Price, and Release Date.

A brand new Neeko skin has just been revealed.

With the latest PBE update, Riot has revealed the skins coming with Patch 13.18. In the patch, we will be receiving a brand new skin line called Street Demon and, along with it, five new skins from the skin line. The recipients of the five new skins will be Rengar, Dr. Mundo, Brand, Zyra, and Neeko. In addition, we will be getting a new Mythic skin for Taliyah called Crystalis Motus Taliyah.

The Street Demon skin line is the newest skin line to be added to League of Legends. It is a skin line heavily inspired by Urban cityscape and Graffiti art. In addition, it has some demonic elements sprinkled onto it, hence the name Street Demon.

With the introduction out of the way, let’s talk about the star of the skin line, Street Demon Neeko. Street Demon Neeko is the seventh skin to be added to her skin catalog. Compared to her other skins, the skin is pretty unique, and it matches her personality pretty well. It also has some decent effects too.

Overall, it’s a fairly decent skin and a good pickup if you are looking for a Neeko skin.

The Splash Art for the upcoming champion Briar has been leaked.

At the start of the year, Riot released a roadmap for League of Legends Season 13. In the roadmap, Riot revealed some of the upcoming content coming in the season. Among the content were the teasers for four new champions planned for the year.

These champions were Milio, Naafiri, Briar, and the Ionian Ink Mage. Of the four champions, Milio and Naafiri have already been released in Patch 13.6 and 13.14, respectively. The next in line for release is Briar.

Briar will be the newest Jungler to be added to the game. She would also be the first Vampire champion to be added to the game, as Vladimir was classified as a Hemomancer by Riot. When describing Briar, Riot Lexical made multiple references to frenzies, bloodlust, and uncontrollable hunger. So, we can expect some Frenzy mechanics coming with Briar.

Other than that, there isn’t much information about Briar. But recently, the splash art for Briar has been revealed, along with it, some new info nation about the champion. In this article, we will look at her splash art and discuss in detail the new information about her.

New Information

As for the new information, we can see from the Splash Art that she is blind. She also seems to be imprisoned in a pillory. As for where she is imprisoned, it is likely in a castle in Noxus.

Also, according to the leaks by Big Bad Bear, she uses the pillory as her weapon. At level 6, she sets herself free from the pillory. Also, she will have Lifesteal, Shield Break, and a Dash with Stun built into her kit.

In addition, she is said to have no Health Regen. Also, as predicted before, she will come with a new Frenzy mechanic.

Release Date

As for the release date for Briar, we do not have any concrete date yet. But, judging by all the information received so far, we will likely be getting Briar on Patch 13.18, scheduled to be released on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

The abilities of League of Legends’ new Vampire champion, Briar, have been leaked.

The Vampire champion, Briar, has been a hot topic among the League of Legends community for the last couple of months. Since the release of Naafiri, players have been eagerly waiting for any bit of new information about Briar. They had been analyzing the few details they had and speculating on how she would turn out.

However, it appears that they won’t have to speculate much longer, as Briar’s abilities have apparently been revealed. Following the leak of her Splash Art, we recently received another large leak regarding her Lore and Abilities.

According to the leaks by Big Bad Bear, she is a failed experiment of the Noxian secret organization, Black Rose. Due to the experiment done on her, she has become uncontrollable and is thus confined in a pillory. The pillory acts as a restraint and also helps to focus her mind. Without the pillory, she bursts into a frenzy and only follows her hunger for “Knowledge and Blood.”

In addition to her Lore, we also got some information regarding her abilities. According to the leaks, she will be a Fighter/Diver champion, like Vi, with abilities similar to Warwick’s.

Briar Abilities

Here’s a description of Briar’s abilities, according to the leaks.

Passive

  • Briar will not have any passive Health Regeneration.
  • Briar’s attacks will apply stacking effect Bleed to enemies.
  • A portion of the damage done by her Bleed will heal her.
  • Healing is increased based on her Missing Health.

Q Ability

  • Briar Leaps into her enemy, Reducing their Armor and causing them to get Stunned.

W Ability

  • Briar’s W causes her to shatter her pillory and sends her into a Frenzied state.
  • During Frenzy, she gains Movement Speed and Attack Speed towards pursuing enemies.
  • Pressing W again in Frenzy Mode will cause her next attack to be a chomp.

E Ability

  • Briar E lets out a scream that deals damage around her and also Slows.
  • The ability requires charge-up time to cast.
  • While charging, she takes reduced damage and heals a portion of her Max Health.
  • Fully charged E knocks back enemies and stuns them if they are knocked into a wall.
  • In addition, the ability also ends her Frenzy Mode.

R/Ultimate Ability

  • Briar Marks the first enemy she hits.
  • She then dashes into the said enemy and, upon contact, fears all enemies around her.
  • While using her R, she also gains bonus Movement Speed, Magic Resistance, Armor, and Lifesteal.

Release Date

Judging by all the information and leaks we received so far, Briar will likely be released in the PBE (Public Beta Environment) servers on August 29th.

As for the live server release, Briar will be coming to the live servers on Patch 13.18, scheduled to be released on Thursday, September 14th, 2023.

Riot has unveiled that Lux, Elise, Samira, Vex, and others are receiving massive buffs in Patch 13.17.

The last couple of Patches for League of Legends has been somewhat small, but that won’t be the case for Patch 13.17. In preparation for Worlds 2023, Riot is looking to make some drastic changes.

It’s no surprise that Riot drastically changes the meta before each year’s Worlds event. And with Worlds 2023 less than two months remaining, Riot has started to make such a meta-shift. In Patch 13.17, we will get some meta-defining changes. First of all, Riot is trying to make Mage Mids more viable. So champions like Twisted Fate, Lux, Orianna, and Zoe are getting some buffs and quality of life changes.

Furthermore, Bruisers like Tryndamere, Aatrox, Vi, and Hecarim, and their Items, such as Goredrinker and Stridebreaker, are getting some much-needed changes. We are also getting some changes to snowball-heavy Junglers like Kayn, Kha’Zix, and Kindred.

Apart from these changes, the Cosmic skin line is finally returning with four brand-new skins.

Patch 13.7 Buffs

Here are all the buffs coming in Patch 13.17,

Champion Buffs

Elise

Riot has always been quite cautious about buffing Elise, and for a good reason. Every time Elise gets strong, she starts dominating the meta. So, this time, Riot is giving her more of a quality of life change.

  • Passive – Spider Queen:
    • Innate – Spider Form:
      • Basic Attacks: 10/20/30/40 (+20% AP) >>> 12/22/32/42 (+20% AP).
      • Healing for Basic Attacks: 4/6/8/10 (+8 AP) >>> 6/8/10/12 (+8 AP).
  • E – Cocoon:
    • Stun Duration: 1.6/1.7/1.8/1.9/2 seconds >>> 1.6/1.8/2/2.2/2.4 seconds.

Gnar

Mini-Gnar will remain untouched, while Mega-Gnar is getting some decent buff to his Q – Boulder Toss and W – Wallop.

  • Q – Boulder Toss:
    • Damage: 25/70/115/160/205 (+140% AD) >>> 45/90/135/180/225 (+140% AD).
  • W – Wallop:
    • Damage: 25/55/85/115/145 (+100% AD) >>> 35/65/95/125/155 (+100% AD).

Lux

It appears Riot is trying to shift Lux from Support to Mid-Lane, but these changes should not affect Support Lux much. In some instances, these buffs make Support Lux even better.

  • Base Stats:
    • Mana Regeneration: 8 Mana per Seconds >>> 7 Mana per Seconds.
  • Passive – Illumination:
    • Damage: 20 – 190 (+20% AP) >>> 30 – 200 (+25% AP).
  • Q – Light Binding:
    • Cooldown: 11 seconds (at all ranks) >>> 11/10.5/10/9.5/9 seconds.
  • E – Lucent Singularity:
    • Damage: 70/120/170/220/270 (+80% AP) >>> 65/115/165/215/265 (+80% AP).

Orianna

Orianna is getting a Health Growth increase, and her W – Command: Dissonance damage is being increased by flat 30. These buffs should make her laning phase a lot better now.

  • Base Stats:
    • Health Growth: 105 Health per Level >>> 110 Health per Level.
  • W – Command: Dissonance:
    • Damage: 60/105/150/195/240 (+70% AP) >>> 70/120/170/220/270 (+70% AP).

Samira

Samira is getting some compensation buffs due to the Mid-Season Shieldbow changes.

  • Base Stats:
    • Health: 600 >>> 630.

Twisted Fate

Twisted Fate’s Q – Wild Cards AP ratio is going up by 10%. Although not exactly huge buffs, it should make his late game better.

  • Q – Wild Cards:
    • Damage: 60/100/140/180/220 (+80% AP) >>> 60/100/140/180/220 (+90% AP).

Tryndamere

Tryndamere should benefit significantly from these adjustments to his Attack Range, especially when matched up against melee opponents.

  • Base Stats:
    • Attack Range: 125 >>> 175.

Vex

Like Lux, Zoe, and Orinana, Vex is also getting some buffs geared towards her laning phase.

  • Q – Mistral Bolt:
    • Damage: 60/105/150/195/240 (+70% AP) >>> 70/115/160/205/250 (+70% AP).
  • W – Personal Space:
    • Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds >>> 16/15/14/13/12 seconds.
  • R – Shadow Surge:
    • [QoL Change] Pinging R now mentions the enemies that are in range of the ability.

Zoe

Zoe is getting some much-needed quality-of-life changes. Her Health Regeneration is being increased, and E-Sleepy Trouble Bubble is getting some slight buffs.

  • Base Stats:
    • Health Regeneration: 6.5 Health per Second >>> 7.5 Health per Second.
  • E – Sleepy Trouble Bubble:
    • Sleep Duration: 2.25 seconds >>> 2.5 seconds.
    • Magic Resistance Reduction: 20/22.5/25/27.5/30% >>> 30%.

System Buffs

Goredrinker

Goredrinker’s build path is getting changed to accommodate for the Health increase.

  • New Build Path: Ironspike Whip + Phage + Kindlegem + 200 Gold.
  • Health: 300 >>> 400.

Ceaseless Hunger

Similar to Goredrinker, its Ornn upgrade, Ceaseless Hunger, will have its Health increased.

  • Health: 450 >>> 600.

Immortal Shieldbow

Immortal Shieldbow will now be better in the early game thanks to its early-game Shield increase.

  • Unique – Lifeline:
    • Shield Value: 215 – 500 (level 11 – 18) >>> 290 – 500 (level 11 – 18).

Riot is looking to nerf some of the strong Junglers in this patch.

Riot usually makes drastic meta shifts before each year’s Worlds event, and with Worlds 2023 less than two months away, Riot is making some drastic changes.

Patch 13.17 is looking to be a massive patch. First of all, the heavy snowball Junglers like Kayn, Kha’Zix, and Kindred are getting some big nerfs. Items and Runes like Bloodthirster, Stattik Shiv. Future’s Market and Evenshroud are also getting some nerfs.

On the buff side, we have buffs for Immortal Shielbow and its users, such as Samira. AP Mid-laners like Lux, Oriana, Twisted Fate, Vex, and Zoe are also getting some buffs. In addition, Blitzcrank, Aatrox, Vi, and Hecarim are getting some adjustments.

But most importantly, the Cosmic skin line is returning with four brand-new skins.

In this article, we will look at the nerfs coming to this patch and how these will affect the nerfed champions.

Patch 13.17 Nerfs

Here are all the nerfs coming in the patch,

Champion Nerfs

Kayn

  • W – Blade’s Reach:
    • Physical Damage AD Ratio:Β 130% bonus AD >>> 110% bonus AD.

Kayn’s W – Blade’s Reach has one of the highest AD ratios in the game. So Riot is nerfing it to align with most other champions’ ratios.

Kha’Zix

  • Q – Taste Their Fear:
    • Physical Damage AD Ratio:Β 115% bonus AD >>> 110% bonus AD.

One of the main objectives of this patch seems to be nerfing snowballing Jungler; as it stands, Kha’Zix is currently one of the biggest snow bally Juglers in the game.

Kha’Zix’s Q – Taste Their Fear is getting its damage cut by 10%. As it is the primary damage source of Kha’Zix, it means he will be significantly weaker from Patch 13.14.

Kindred

  • E – Mounting Dread:
    • Slow: 50% (+ 5% per 100 AP) >>> 30% (+ 5% per 100 AP).
    • Health Ratio on Additional Damage: 8% (+ 0.5% per Mark) of target’s missing Health) >>> 5% (+ 0.5% per Mark) of target’s missing Health).

Kindreds E – Mounting Dread’s Slow and Max Health damage is decreasing significantly. Meaning Kindred would be much weaker in the early and late game.

Naafiri

  • Base Stats:
    • Health: 650 >>> 635.
  • Passive – We Are More:
    • Cooldown: 25 – 10 seconds (based on level) >>> 30 – 15 seconds (based on level).
    • Packmates:
      • [New] Packmates take 100% bonus Damage from champion melee attacks.
  • Q – Darkin Daggers:
    • Seconds Activation Heal: 45/65/85/105/125 (+40% bonus AD) >>> 45/60/75/90/105 (+40% bonus AD).
    • Second Activation minimum Damage: 35/50/65/80/95 (+70% bonus AD) >>> 30/45/60/75/90 (+40% bonus AD).
    • Second Activation maximum Damage: 70/100/130/160/190 (+140% bonus AD) >>> 60/90/120/150/180 (+140% bonus AD).
  • E – Eviscerate:
    • First Hit AD Ratio: 60% bonus AD >>> 50% bonus AD.
    • Second Hit AD Ratio: 90% bonus AD >>> 80% bonus AD.

It appears that the Naafiri nerfs for the last few patches weren’t enough. So, Riot is nerfing her again in Patch 13.17.

Xerath

  • Base Stats:
    • Mana Regeneration: 8 Mana per Second >>> 6.85 Mana per Second.
  • Passive – Mana Surge:
    • Unit Kill Cooldown Restore: 2 seconds >>> 2.5 seconds.
  • W – Eye of Destruction:
    • Mana Cost: 70/80/90/100/110 Mana >>> 80/90/100/110/120 Mana.

Both Mid and Support Xerath are overall in a strong state right now. But Support Xerath is quite a bit stronger. So, Riot is nerfing Support Xerath.

System Nerfs

Bloodthirster

  • Unique – Engorge:
    • Health Threshold: 50% >>> 70%.

Bloodthirster’s heath threshold is being increased by 20%. Now, ranged champions will have a harder time abusing its passive.

Evenshroud

  • Unique – Coruscation:
    • Bonus Damage: 10% >>> 7%.

Evenshroud, at its current state, might be the strongest item in the game. It is a support item that provides 20 Ability Haste, 200 Health, 30 Armor, 30 Magic Resistance, and a flat 10% damage increase. Not only that, it only costs 2300 gold, which is absurd for an item that costs this much.

Future’s Market

  • Base Debt: 145 Gold >>> 100 Gold.
  • Debt per Minute Added: 5 >>> 8.

Future’s Market has been one of the strongest for a while now. The ability to get items early and the fact it is in the inspiration tree makes it a strong rune choice for any champion. Because of this, Riot is nerfing the rune.

Stattik Shiv

  • Unique – Electroshock:
    • Damage: 100 – 180 (+30% AP) >>> 100 – 180 (+15% AP).

Stattik Shiv was introduced as a waveclear item for AD marksmen. But thanks to its absurdly high AP ratio, it became a staple item for AP champions. Riot is looking to change that in Patch 13.17 by nerfing its AP ratio.

Release Date

The aforementioned nerfs will arrive at the live servers in Patch 13.17, which will be released on Wednesday, Aug 30, 2023.
