Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 Reloaded have introduced a new Faction Showdown Camo event for players to complete and get their hands on two Mastery Camos.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is the direct successor to Warzone 1. The game shares almost all of its fundamental mechanics with Warzone 1. Aside from these mechanics, the only thing different in Warzone 2.0 is the gunplay and movement mechanics.

Warzone 1 had its share of seasonal events that granted players in-game rewards. Following its predecessor, Warzone 2.0 also features seasonal events like the Mastery Camo challenges, which were added to the game with Season 3.

With the start of Season 5 Reloaded, players are getting another special event titled Faction Showdown Mastery Camo Challenges. Let’s take a look at the Faction Showdown camo challenges and the rewards associated with them.

Faction Shodown Event

The Faction Showdown is a very straightforward challenge event where players fight for TF 141, or Shadow Company. Players must get kills or vehicle stats to progress toward mastery camo. To complete the challenges, players must get kills in multiplayer, DMZ, or Warzone 2.0. Each kill will count towards the weapon kill challenge.

Call of Duty has secretly added pay-to-win Holotherm sight in one of their recent store bundles in Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty Warzone 1 introduced a new large-scale multiplayer model to all players, which made its way to its sequel, Warzone 2.0. The new Battle Royale title was tied in with the premium release titles, which included all weapons, operators, and in-game features.

As Activision started focusing on the new live-service model, they started integrating new microtransactions in-game. They released new bundles that contained operators, weapon skins with blueprints, and other in-game accessories.

While the new bundles don’t provide any in-game advantages, a few have sneakily added pay-to-win features. However, these bundles were only limited to DMZ up until Season 5. The newest bundle in Season 5 features a pay-to-win attachment for Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2.

New Bundle with Pay to Win Holotherm Sight

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 moved to Season 5 last month. With the new update, players have received a new battle pass, weapon bundles, and in-game events. However, one bundle put Infinity Ward in a pickle with its in-game pay-to-win weapon attachment.

The new Dark Rituals III bundle features the “Possessed” Operator Skin and three Weapon Blueprints: the “To Dust” Assault Rifle, the “Death’s Door” Battle Rifle, and the “Necrotic” Sniper Rifle.

CoD Bundle Pay to Win

However, the debacle began when CoD content creator ModernWarzone pointed out the issue with the optic attachment of “To Dust” AR, which featured a very familiar thermal sight with an unusual color scheme.

The normal holotherm sight has hindered vision through smoke, while the $20 bundle sight has a clear vision. This clear vision through smoke is a clear pay-to-win advantage. However, Infinity Ward has not addressed the issue yet, clearing the air on whether it’s intentional or a feature of the holotherm.

The pay-to-win debacle of the bundles started when they provided DMZ features; however, with this new bundle, they had moved towards P2W weapon attachments. Previously, during Season 1, a Sniper scope with a rangefinder started the P2W trend.

The M4 is Modern Warfare 2’s most powerful Assault Rifle, and this fully automatic is doing wonders in the MW2. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on creating the optimal loadout for the M4 in MW2.

The M4 is one of the most versatile weapons in the game. It’s based on the M4 platform that branches out to M16 Burst Fire AR, Icarus LMG, and FSS Hurricane. The weapon was also one of the best and most used weapons in MW (2019).

Carrying the legacy, M4 is still one of the most popular weapons in the recently released titles. It has the best damage over small to medium ranges with an outstanding fire rate. It can also be converted into a long-range beamer by using the proper attachments. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t use an M4 in MW2.

How to unlock the M4 in MW2

The M4 is available from when players reach level 5 in CoD: MW2 for the first time, but that doesn’t ensure everything connected to the weapon is unlocked. To unlock some of the better attachments for the weapon, players will have to level up their rank with the M4 as players would with any other gun in Call of Duty games.

To rank up M4, spend time in MW2 with it equipped. While the M4 will always gain a constant flow of XP while equipped, players can speed up the process by using it to slay enemies, take down killstreaks, and complete objectives. And they will gain even more weapon XP for the M4 if they activate a weapon-oriented XP token before an MW2 match begins.

Best M4 Loadout

  • Underbarrrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Barrel: Tempus Hightower 20″ Barrel
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Red Dot
  • Magazine: 45-Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: XTEN Grip
  • Receiver: M4

Best Equipment & Perks for M4 Loadout

  • Tactical: Flash Grenade
  • Lethal: Semtex Grenade
  • Base Perk – 1: Tracker
  • Base Perk – 2: Battle Hardened
  • Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
  • Ultimate Perk: Hardline

A flash grenade and semtex grenade are the best tactical and lethal for the loadout. The flash grenade is handy for checking areas, as it emits a hit marker when it explodes, blinding the affected player. Furthermore, the semtex grenade helps clear out tight map areas and objectives.

As for the reworked perk system, the base perks 1 and 2 are tracker and battle-hardened. The tracker perk highlights the enemies’ footsteps, and battle-hardened increases damage resistance to explosives in-game. On the other hand, the fast hands bonus perk increases the weapon switching and reload speed for better weapon handling.

Other Alternatives to the M4 in the Current Meta

Other alternatives to the M4 are Lachmann 556 (AR), Kastov 762 (AR), and Lachmann MP5 (SMG). Lachmann 556 is one of the most powerful guns in Modern Warfare 2’s current meta. As time progresses, more weapons will gain a stronger position in the meta.

Punta Mar (6v6)

  • Punta Mar is a recently evacuated tourist attraction in Las Almas — once a bustling town on a hill overlooking a beautiful South American beach.

Prepare to fight up and down that hill, maneuvering through shops, across rooftops, and through abandoned residences to take control of an area centered around a cobblestone street.

Strike (6v6)

  • Fan-favorite Strike returns to Call of Duty and will be familiar to many veteran Players with some updates for Modern Warfare II!

Lounge (Gunfight)

  • This compact map for Gunfight and other small-squad modes takes place in a high-scale, high-octane club. Take the stairs or climb to a balcony for a view across the main chamber, and when the center gets too hot, try your luck in the game room or under the spotlights of the stage behind the grand piano.

Canal (Gunfight)

  • Situated in the vicinity of Vondel, Canal features cellars below the cobblestone streets above, with the action occurring between the canal bridges where the water or a moored boat are useful in your tactical planning. Be ready for close quarters combat while weaving through the brewery and restaurant.

PLAYLIST

New Modes

Havoc

  • Players start with one modifier at the beginning of a match. Once a squad is the first to reach a multiple of 12 kills – 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60 – the game adds a new modifier to the match for both teams, from a pool of 14 available modifiers. Here are examples of just five of them:
    • Ammo Feeder: Auto reloads a weapon (from stock ammo) upon elimination.
    • Boots Off the Ground: Moon gravity. Affects only player jump heights, not thrown equipment or ballistics
    • Flameshot: Flame-tipped Crossbows and Molotovs only. All Loadouts change immediately to this upon modifier activation.
    • Hero Landing: Landing from a big drop causes a frag-grenade-like explosion around you.
    • Perspective Shift: Everyone swaps to a third-person camera view.

Big Capture the Flag

  • Want to go bigger? Then the Battle Maps are ready for some classic Capture the Flag matches in Season 05. Whether it is on the streets of Guijarro or in the waterlogged Mawizeh Marshlands, Big Capture the Flag on a 20v20 scale is a recipe for some epic matches.

Gunfight Variants

  • Step into the 2v2 Gunfight arena with three different variants available throughout Season 05. Look for the following:
    • Gunfight Custom (Launch): Featuring standard Gunfight rules, but the weaponry you bring is taken from your favorite Loadouts.
    • Gunfight Snipers (In-Season): Tool up with your favorite sniper or marksman rifle, and leave the Secondary, Tacticals, and Lethals at home.
    • Armored Gunfight (In-Season): Need more protection during your 2v2 skirmishes? Then welcome to Armored Gunfight, a variation on the fan-favorite mode, featuring standard Gunfight rules with one distinct difference; armor is enabled! Each squadmate comes to the fight with 150 HP of Armor, 100 Health, and no replacement plates or health regeneration. All other Gunfight rules apply (win conditions, overtime, capturing the overtime flag), but your takedown tactics should be adjusted accordingly.

BUG FIXES

Adjustments

  • Removed weapons dropping too close to players in modes with team revive active.
  • Updated Gunfight weapon table to include Blueprints up through Season 05
  • Players will have their sidearms removed if playing Gunfight with specified weapon categories (i.e. Snipers only)
  • Updated the default score limit for Grind to 75 points in Private Matches
  • Removed the “Care Package Drop Time” option in Infected Private Matches

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue preventing Radar Always On from working correctly in Private Matches
  • Fixed an issue causing overlapping icons on Point A when playing Control on Vondel Waterfront
  • Fixed an issue on Santa Seña Border Crossing where bots would attempt to path to invalid locations if all other Players in the match are dead
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent health packs from dropping in Hardcore Private Matches
  • Fixed an issue where Players would not be able to toggle NVGs after extracting a prisoner in Prisoner Rescue
  • Fixed an issue in Cyber Attack where Players could lock up their view model animation by spamming melee while planting the EMP
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Players to pick up the prisoner out of bound in Prisoner Rescue
  • Fixed an issue in zone capture modes where the zone would flicker between unoccupied and controlled
  • Fixed an issue in Prisoner Rescue where the prisoner would T-pose with no head if the carrier died while out of bounds
  • Fixed an issue where explosive bullet kills would not progress the weapon ladder in Gun Game

The Carrack .300 is a true Sniper Rifle with a semi-automatic bullpup design. Being effective even at the longest ranges, the Sniper requires a player who can take a deep breath, keep calm under pressure, and line up a shot to the head or upper chest.

All operator and weapon skins from MW2 will reportedly carry over to Modern Warfare 3.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the current ongoing title. The game came out in 2022 as a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare. The game shares most of its core mechanics with its predecessor.

Previously, Activision was optimistic that they would move back to a 2-year CoD cycle with the release of MW2. However, following a few issues, Activision announced that they would not stick with the 2-year cycle and will release MW3 in 2023, which will be developed by Sledgehammer Games.

A new yearly CoD cycle would mean players would have to grind through a full new set of weapons or buy new weapons or operator skins. Surprisingly, Call of Duty and Leakers have confirmed that MW2 operator and weapon skins will carry over to Modern Warfare 3 (2023).

MW2 Operator and Weapon Skins will Carry Over to Modern Warfare 3

In a series of leaks by BobNetworkUK on Twitter, the leaker pointed out that weapons from MW2 were present in Modern Warfare 3. This means that the current weapon pool will transition to Modern Warfare 3.

While this might not seem like a big piece of news initially, all current operators, weapons, and skins will be available in Modern Warfare 3, day one. It will allow players to build their collection and ease their weapon grind in the new game.

The leak or rumor was confirmed by Call of Duty when they tweeted out a poll asking players if they would like their operator and weapons to carry over to the new Call of Duty in 2023.

The confirmation of this leak has left players in awe as they could use their purchased bundles and weapons in the new Call of Duty title. This change indicates that the newest Call of Duty title is moving positively, fixing the mistakes the current title is going through.

Do you want to get your hands on the newest controversial operator coming to Warzone 2.0? Here’s how you unlock the Izzy Operator Bundle in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is the direct sequel to Warzone. The battle royale game has garnered a mass following worldwide due to its unique in-game features and innovative game mechanics. Aside from these mechanics, the game’s in-game cosmetics are also widely popular.

Warzone 1 introduced the Operator bundles, which featured an Operator skin, weapon blueprints, and other in-game accessories. Operator skins are popular as they allow players to represent their own looks or aesthetics.

Warzone 2.0 has introduced many unique operators, such as Messi, Pogba, Neymar, and other legendary skins. However, the new Season 4 Reloaded Operator skin has managed to cause controversy due to its name and in-game look.

Izzy Operator Bundle Controversy

The Izzy operator bundle was first teased in the Season 4 Overview. However, the operator had a completely different name which caused a massive controversy. The operator was called Izanami, the reverse of “I am a N*zi.” The whole name debacle raised an anti-semitic agenda, causing Activision to delay the release and change the bundle name to Izzy later.

How to Get the Izzy Operator Bundle

The three operators can be unlocked by purchasing their operator bundles from the in-game store of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 for 2400 CoD Points. Here are all the bundle contents:

  • “Izzy” Operator
  • “New Blood” ISO Hemlock Blueprint and Pink Tracer Bullets
  • “Count Me In” MCPR-300 Blueprint and Pink Tracer Bullets
  • “Warhead Wagon” Vehicle Skin
  • “Bootlicker” Finishing Move
  • “Killer Izzy” Loading Screen
  • “Izzy” Weapon Sticker
  • “Girl’s Best Friend” Weapon Charm
  • DMZ Active Duty Slot

Stay frosty, and make sure to get your hands on the most unique-looking operator skin of the game before time runs out. Follow our Call of Duty guides for the best loadouts, tips, and tricks.

Warzone 2.0 Season 4 Reloaded is set to feature new operators, weapons, and much more. Here’s an overview of everything coming in Season 4 Reloaded.

Infinity Ward will soon release the Season 5 update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. With it, three new weapons and operators will be introduced to both titles. The Season 5 update will reward players with double XP and double weapon XP.

For MW2 fans, there are two pieces of good news. The first is that the game will have four new core maps including the OG map Strike. Additionally, the update will also introduce six new Shadow Company operators.

Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 also feature a crossover with Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage. This is the second last major update before Modern Warfare 3’s release later this year. There’s more!! So, let’s see the first look at Season 5 without further ado.

MODERN WARFARE II OVERVIEW

  • A Strike from the Past; Punta Mar Steps into the Present. The two Core maps at launch are a returning Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map and a brand-new location. Plus: two additional gunfight maps.
  • New Core Map In-Season. Small, built for fast-flowing action, and based near Building 21, visit the DRC – Zone 1 research campus for rapid-paced chaotic core combat coming mid-season.
  • Wreak Havoc, grab the flag, and Armor Up in three new Modes. A Multiplayer arena-style game mode arrives in Modern Warfare II. Battle Maps get a Capture the Flag mode. Plus, it’s time to bring your Armor Plates, Loadouts, and Sniper Rifles to the Gunfight.

Four New Maps

From battle-tested classics to new favorites, Modern Warfare II’s map rotation is about to expand well past three-dozen locations combined across all modes with these Core and Gunfight additions: Punta Mar, Strike, Lounge, and Canal.

Punta Mar (Core, Launch)

Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 5
image via callofduty.com

Get ready to infiltrate a brand-new map from Infinity Ward. Punta Mar is a recently evacuated tourist attraction in Las Almas — once a bustling town on a hill overlooking a beautiful South American beach.

Prepare to fight up and down that hill, maneuvering through shops, rooftops, and abandoned residences to control an area centered around a cobblestone street. There’s little time between engagements. Watch the shop windows for enemy Operators and use the side streets and alleys to your advantage in this small map geared toward all playstyles.

Strike (Core, Launch)

Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 5
image via callofduty.com

Turn the clock back 15 years to one of the core maps of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Alongside its brethren in Shipment and Showdown, Strike will be restored to its full glory in Season 05, thanks to the latest Infinity Ward engine and technology. This version of Strike is how veterans likely remember it, albeit with some slight adjustments to make it fit in Modern Warfare II.

Lounge (Gunfight, Launch)

Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 5
image via callofduty.com

No time to kick back and relax here: This compact map for Gunfight and other small-squad modes takes place in a high-scale, high-octane club. Take the stairs or climb to a balcony for a view across the main chamber, and when the center gets too hot, try your luck in the game room or under the spotlights of the stage behind the grand piano. On this tiny map, there’s danger at every turn, so stay active, use cover, and be ready to put on a show-stopping performance.

Canal (Gunfight, Launch)

Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 5
image via callofduty.com

Situated near Vondel, this new Gunfight map takes place in and around a brewery and a canal thoroughfare. Offering some verticality, Canal features cellars below the cobblestone streets above, with the action occurring between the canal bridges where the water or a moored boat is useful in your tactical planning. Be ready for close-quarters combat while weaving through the brewery and restaurant. Canal is frenetic, with more room to move than other Gunfight maps, so think tactically and keep pressing the fight.

DRC – Zone 1 (Core, Mid-Season)

Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 5
image via callofduty.com

Building 21 already had some spectacularly memorable moments in Call of Duty: Warzone. Now an area near this clandestine location will be revealed for Modern Warfare II Multiplayer. Prepare to enter a new Zone in the DRC research campus.

This map is located around the Visitor Center in the shadow of Building 21. Many of the technological triumphs that the DRC have gifted the world are on display here. Players are also allowed behind the curtain to view some of the facility’s inner workings, from Research and Development to the shipping and receiving areas, to a few of the laboratories.

This small-sized map is focused on fast-paced combat, where shortcuts, outflanking, and consistent action is to be expected. Look for a full tactical overview of this map at midseason.

New Modes

Expect three new Modern Warfare II Modes as Season 05 launches and progresses, along with a variety of returning Gunfight variants and Faceoff with even more Operators for those seeking the ultimate in Cage Match experiences:

Havoc (Launch)

In Season 05, one thing is for certain: It’s time to wreak some Havoc.

Havoc is a brand-new Core Multiplayer mode inspired by classic arena-shooter gameplay, then further enhanced with the injection of a random selection of frenzy-inducing modifiers. Infinity Ward specifically designed this as a “rogue” like mode, where each time a game is played, you receive enhancement modifiers that changes the gameplay in new and interesting (and not to mention, chaotic) ways. Don’t expect two games of Havoc to play out identically. But do expect a whole lot of fast-paced combat with the emphasis on entertaining takedowns.

The match starts in a similar manner to a Team Deathmatch. However, you should forget about Perk Packages, Killstreaks, or Field Upgrades: They don’t exist in Havoc. Instead, prepare to embrace the match-changing modifiers!

Affects only player jump heights, not thrown equipment or ballistics.

The modifiers stack as the match progresses, so by the end of a match, you could have, for example, a third-person, moon gravity, hero-landing-enabled, auto-reloading flame-tipped Crossbow and Molotovs-only Deathmatch once one team reaches 60 kills.

Bring the squad to Havoc, and prepare for some frenetic fun.

Big Capture the Flag (Launch)

Whether it is on the streets of Guijarro or in the waterlogged Mawizeh Marshlands, Big Capture the Flag on a 20v20 scale is a recipe for some epic matches.

Will a lone hero go behind enemy lines, beating the odds across hundreds of meters, all to ultimately make a decisive capture? Or will several squads armed with tanks, helicopters, and launchers fight to secure or reset a dropped flag out in the open?

Gunfight Variants (including Armored Gunfight) (Launch, In-Season)

Step into the 2v2 Gunfight arena with three variants available throughout Season 05. Look for the following:

Gunfight Custom (Launch): Featuring standard Gunfight rules, but the weaponry you bring is taken from your favorite Loadouts.

Gunfight Snipers (Mid-Season): Tool up with your favorite sniper or marksman rifle, and leave the Secondary, tactical, and Lethals at home.

Armored Gunfight (In-Season): Armored Gunfight, a variation on the fan-favorite mode, featuring standard Gunfight rules with one distinct difference; armor is enabled! Each squadmate comes to the fight with 150 HP of Armor, 100 Health, and no replacement plates or health regeneration. All other Gunfight rules apply (win conditions, overtime, capturing the overtime flag), but your takedown tactics should be adjusted accordingly.

Faceoff (4v4) (Mid-Season)

For those seeking the fast-action gameplay of small-team cage matches, the ultimate compliment to Gunfight is back! Use your own Loadouts, forget Killstreaks, and play modes like Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed on all the Modern Warfare II Gunfight maps.

CALL OF DUTY: WARZONE OVERVIEW

  • Calling All Champions. The Vondel Champions Quest will begin in Season 05. Assemble the squad and prepare to put together a new plan for victory in Vondel.
  • New Free Features in BR and DMZ. Two new vehicles across both modes; several new DMZ features, and the first details on the Reveal Event for Call of Duty 2023.
  • Arriving at Reloaded: Hold Down the Fort, Prepared for Armored Royale. A section of Al Mazrah adds to the available Resurgence maps, and will be added to the existing rotation. That and the return of Armored Royale earmark the Season 05 midseason updates.

Vondel Champion’s Quest (Launch Window)

Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 5

Champions of Call of Duty: Warzone: Heed the call of this new quest.

Just like the Traditional Battle Royale Champion’s Quest for Al Mazrah, a squad that is on a winning streak — five in a row in Mini Battle Royale matches — will have the opportunity to take on the Champion’s Quest in Vondel.

Although the Vondel’s quest will be similar to Al Mazrah’s quest in that you will build the M.G.B., there are a couple key differences:

First, all elements must be held and never dropped (a prerequisite that also now applies to any Champion’s Quest you undertake). That means an element can’t be dropped in the water and saved for the end. If an element is dropped, it must be recaptured to continue the quest.

Second, there are three brand-new elements — or elemental compounds — to capture as part of this quest:

  • Gallium: Holding Gallium reveals all nearby team members who held it previously as if you were affected by a Snapshot Grenade.
  • Deuterium: This fatigues any Operator, which includes causing them to cough if they try sprinting.
  • Neptunium: This periodically electrocutes all nearby Operators and hay-wiring vehicles, with similar effects as the Shock Stick.

The Champion’s Quest in Vondel will be ready for all challengers starting at season launch.

New Vehicles

Two familiar vehicles are here across Call of Duty: Warzone maps; consult your Tac Map in-game for locations and availability.

MRAP

Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 5
image via callofduty.com

Mine Resistant Ambush Protected — it does what it says in its name.

A vehicle roughly the size and shape of the Cargo Truck, the MRAP [DS1] is equipped for heavy combat with additional armor plating and turrets, making it a slower, yet effective, vehicle for attack or defense.

The MRAP will not appear often — in fact, it is mostly available at the start of a mode coming out at mid-season — but whenever an Operator sees it being used, it’s time to either head inside or come at it head-on with Launchers, LMGs, and Killstreaks . . . and plenty of them.

Dirt Bike

Warzone 2.0 and MW2 Season 5
image via callofduty.com

A nimble and rapid form of transportation in Call of Duty: Warzone, the Dirt Bike is ready for Operators to lose enemies through tight alleys, perform hairpin turns on a dime, and get across any map without much cover but with plenty of style.

In other words, yes, you can catch sick air and pop wheelies on this whenever the operation calls for it.

Note that only two Operators can technically fit on the Dirt Bike at a time, so a full squad of four should either partner up or get enough rides for everyone.
